This is an on-site position in Boise, Idaho. Candidates must currently live in the Boise area or be willing and able to relocate. Summary: The primary responsibility of the Art Director is to create, execute, and manage the overall visual communication style for given assignments. This role is foundational in the creation of multi-faceted campaigns requiring the highest level of visual acuity. The Art Director (AD) is an essential part of a collaborative team with a copywriter -- together developing conceptual advertising and design platforms, campaign ideas, and high-level creative solutions with complex communication and branding challenges. The AD should be well versed in the mediums of digital, print, film, photography and possess an exquisite sense of typography, design, layout, color with the ability to execute each handily. Essential Functions: Conceptualize and create stunning, arresting, bold visual ideas and campaign platforms based on the project requirements. Partner with a copywriter in the creation of prototype ideas to final finished production. Direct, coach and inspire agency designers and production artists. Work closely with creative directors in all aspects of the creative development process, from strategy development to the final execution. Prepare and present client-ready prototypes, designs, and references in presentation format. Skills and Abilities Ability to follow creative trends and identify ways to implement new initiatives. The ability to generate multiple idea directions toward solutions while also comfortably eliminating options which don’t adhere to the brief. A confidence and track record in developing atypical, startling, fresh creative ideas as a means toward solving communication problems. Ability to explain and defend work coherently and constructively to internal and external stakeholders. Effective collaboration skills, understanding when to confirm to the group and when to fight for your ideas. Effective time management skills, both for oneself and for others. A service-oriented work approach to support internal and on-site customer support and work as a product/services expert Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with minimal supervision. Able to make decisions using own initiative based on company policy and regulating entities. Ability to interpret and practice appropriate safety, security, and environmental revisions. Associates are expected to elevate any identified safety concerns immediately. Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, regulated environment amongst multiple interruptions and competing demands while ensuring strong attention to detail. Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot, problem-solve and effectively and efficiently make decisions. Strong communication skills with external and internal personnel to include: Active listening skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Ability to clearly explain technical subjects to internal and external personnel. Strive for clarity and for alleviation of tension when the need arises. Strong business management and people relationship skills used to make decisions on what and when to communicate with others. Education and Experience Education BS or BA degree or related degree preferred but not required. Additional classes/experience and/or portfolio schooling a plus. Experience 5+ years of agency or marketing department experience Knowledge of print, broadcast, and digital communications, including social media, is required. Well versed in the Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), required. Experience with photography/film (technical, indoor, understand lighting, composition), and directing photo and video shoots, preferred. **A combination of education, training, and experience which has provided theoretical and practical knowledge will be evaluated for equivalency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
